$1M Year 2 ALGS Split 2 Playoffs to take place in Stockholm, Sweden!
In-person competition returns to the ALGS with the Split 2 Playoffs in Stockholm with USD $1,000,000 prize pool up for grabs!
Hello ALGS Fans,
As we head into the final weekend of the Split 2 Pro League Regular Season, we’re thrilled to announce that the Year 2 ALGS Split 2 Playoffs will take place in Stockholm, Sweden between Friday, April 29th and Sunday, May 1st, 2022.
After more than two years without an in-person event, we couldn’t be happier to say that for the first time in ALGS history, we’re bringing together the top teams from each of the Pro League’s five regions to determine the best team in the world and crown a global champion.
As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority remains to protect our competitors, employees, tournament partner staff, and communities, so we’ll continue to follow advice from health officials (including the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO)). For this reason, the Split 2 Playoffs will not be open to the public.
While the exact teams that have qualified for the Playoffs remain unknown until the Split 2 Regular Season has finished, we wanted to share a preview of what the Playoffs will look like, and help illustrate exactly what the Pro League teams are competing for over the final five match days of the Regular Season.

SPLIT 2 PLAYOFF FORMAT
The Split 2 Playoffs will bring together the top 40 teams from the ALGS Pro League’s five regions, according to the chart below:

The Playoffs begin with a Group Stage on Friday, April 29th where teams will be split into four groups of ten teams. Each group will play a six-match series against every other group in the Group Stage.
On Saturday, April 30th every team will be assigned a starting position in the Bracket Stage’s double-elimination bracket based on their Group Stage performance. After playing through the double-elimination bracket, the top 20 teams will advance to the Finals.
The Finals will take place on Sunday, May 1st, and consist of a single Match Point series to determine the Split 2 Playoffs Champion.

So what’s at stake in Sweden? In addition to the bragging rights associated with being labeled as one of the best Apex Legends Global Series team in the entire world, Split 2 Playoff teams are competing for their share of the USD $1,000,000 prize pool and valuable Playoff Points that will help them qualify for the upcoming Year 2 ALGS Championship!
Each of the prizes listed below, with the exception of the Apex Predator prize, will be distributed equally among the participating competitors of the winning teams in accordance with the ALGS Official Rules and all amounts are in USD.
