Year 3 Split 2 Playoffs: Everything You Need to Know

Can you believe it? The Split 2 Playoffs are almost here! The ALGS team has kicked things into high gear as we prepare for Playoffs and we’re ecstatic to share all the details you need to know about this event.
If you plan on joining us in London at the Copper Box Arena on July 13-16, 2023, we would recommend that you secure your tickets ASAP if you haven’t already. Sunday and 4-day tickets are almost sold out, so get them HERE while you can!
For those joining us from home, as always, you can tune into the live streams on the official Apex Legends Esports channels on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam.
Now, before we cover all the details of the Split 2 Playoffs, here’s a sneak peek at the excitement to come:
WHAT’S NEW?
While competition will always be the focal point of the ALGS, our intention is to make our Live Events an immersive experience for everyone who attends.
To accomplish this, we’ve moved all competition to the Main Stage so you won’t miss a single second of competitive Apex Legends. We’ll also have Official Meet & Greets, a Free Play area sponsored by WD Black, free Monster Energy samples, and daily giveaways for every attendee.
For the first time, we’ll also be introducing Team Merch Booths in partnership with TSM, DarkZero, Alliance, Luminosity Gaming, and JLINGZ, along with our own limited-edition Playoffs merch, which we will reveal closer to the event.

GROUPS
COMPETITION FORMAT
The competition weekend kicks off on July 13th and 14th with the Group Stage, where we’ll see 40 of the world’s best Apex Legends teams compete in a six-match series against every other group.
The Bracket Stage starts on July 15th. Teams are seeded based on their Group Stage placement in a double-elimination bracket where 20 of the original 40 teams will be eliminated.
On Sunday, July 16th, the remaining 20 teams will advance to the Match Point Finals to determine our Split 2 Playoffs Champion.

PRIZING
Split 2 Playoffs teams are competing for their share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool and valuable Playoff Points to help them qualify for the upcoming ALGS Year 3 Championship.
The prize money will be distributed amongst the top 20 teams. For more information on the distribution of Playoff Points, please see the ALGS Official Rules.
