Season 3 Blastpoint Roadmap, Bonus Path and Event Guide

BRACE FOR BLASTPOINT - MID-SEASON ROADMAP

All it takes is one spark to re-define your legacy.

Blastpoint, the second Season 3 update* for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, will make its mark following an update to Battlefield 6 and REDSEC on June 8 (at 12:00 p.m. UTC, 4 a.m. PDT).

Continuing the story so far, Pax Armata’s Tier 1 Steel Talon unit is now embedded in Egypt, establishing a stronghold deep in Cairo Bazaar. With critical M-COMs planted in the Bazaar and Cairo proper, as well in the Empire State and Gibraltar, all signs point to complete Obliteration.

In addition to bringing back the reimagined Cairo Bazaar Map map from Battlefield 3, the Blastpoint Update is highlighted by the iconic Obliteration mode’s return from Battlefield 4, the launch of Battle Royale Solos, a global celebration in Battlefield, and the Battlefield 6 and REDSEC debut of the cult classic PP-19 SMG… Alongside another weeklong Free Trial** for everyone to experience the latest Multiplayer additions alongside Battlefield 6’s greatest hits since launch.

Central to this major update is the Explosive Charge Bonus Path, containing free rewards such as the new functional PP-19 SMG Primary Weapon and Handheld Jammer Recon Gadget, as well as additional rewards for Battle Pass Owners. This Bonus Path can be completed on day one or over its full two weeks of availability: the PP-19 SMG can be unlocked immediately at launch, adding another weapon to your arsenal as you look to bulldoze the Bazaar, rally up several Divisions in Ranked, run Solo through Fort Lydon, or dominate the Battlefield elsewhere.

FREE TRIAL AVAILABLE JUNE 9 - 15

Leave your mark on the Battlefield with brand-new items in the Explosive Charge Bonus Path, available during Blastpoint Season 3 from June 9 until June 23. Unlock free functional content, including the Handheld Jammer (Tier 4) and PP-19 SMG (Tier 11), alongside customization items; Battle Pass owners get the opportunity to receive five items from this Bonus Path, including the “Outburst” PW5A3 SMG Weapon Package (Tier 2), perfect for the soldier who takes to battle with a loud, sudden, and overpowering presence.

In addition to the gaining access to the full Blastpoint Bonus Path - specifically, the five Tiers available to Season 3 Battle Pass owners - the Season 3 Battle Pass also includes access to over 100 Tiers of content, a 10% Progression Boost across Career, Hardware, and Battle Pass XP, and additional benefits such as six instant unlock rewards.

You can also upgrade to Battlefield Pro* for Season 3, which ups that 10% Progression Boost to 15%, includes even more instant rewards, grants 25 Battle Pass Tier Skips along with access to the full Season 3 Battle Pass, and additional features like the BF Pro in-game radio station.

Battle Pass owners also get additional gifts through the Store just for having the Battle Pass. Already, owners received a trio of free Boosters; get the Battle Pass now to receive the “Encoded” Gadget Skin for the IGLA, as well as all more gifts to be given throughout Season 3.

QUICK RELOAD: HOW TO COMPLETE THE BONUS PATH

As a refresher, Bonus Paths are completed concurrently alongside a Seasonal Battle Pass; no need to choose between a Battle Pass and Bonus Path, because they use separate Points and Tiers.

Each Bonus Path Tier requires 10 Bonus Path Points to unlock; 50 Bonus Path Points are required for the Handheld Jammer, 110 Bonus Path Points clears the Bonus Path and unlocks the PP-19 SMG. Bonus Path Points are earned through:

EVENT CHALLENGES themed around this update’s new experiences, including some challenges exclusive to BF Pro owners.
WEEKLY CHALLENGES; specifically those during the Bonus Path’s active weeks (Weeks 5, 6, and 7) award Bonus Path Points alongside regular Battle Pass Points. Complete a set number of Weekly Challenges to access a Bonus Challenge with a warlord’s bounty of Bonus Path Points and Battle Pass Points.

The harder the challenge, the more Bonus Path Points earned, save for those Weekly Bonus Challenges that reward multiple timely challenge completions with a reasonable objective for a large Points reward.

ADDITIONAL FREE CHALLENGES - UNLOCK NEW ATTACHMENTS #00 BUCKSHOT, CRYOGENIC BARRELS

At Blastpoint Update launch, expect a new Season 3 Hardware Challenge set to unlock the new #00 Buckshot and Cryogenic Barrels. As a reminder, here’s what you can expect for both attachments:

#00 Buckshot is an alternate Shotgun Buckshot Ammunition attachment; with slightly larger pellets and less pellets per shot, each shell provides a more concentrated damage profile for better range and consistency with proper aim. When a big game calls for more accuracy than Buckshot or Flechettes, but not a straight Slug, double-aughts are what you can bring to the battlefield.

Cryogenic Barrels are the answer for soldiers who want to aim down sights faster while also having better accuracy range, a rare buff combination with an appropriate Attachment Point cost for balance. Consider it an alternative to the popular Heavy Barrels that you may be choosing to light up Fort Lyndon or handle other large maps, but with better mobility at a potential cost of another attachment choice elsewhere.

MAKE YOUR MARK WITH SPRAYS - AVAILABLE IN UPCOMING STORE BUNDLES

Put a spark in your arsenal with a rotating selection of new Store Bundles.

Leading Explosive Charge is the Flash of Fury Store Bundle; as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist, you'll need nerves stronger than the blast you're up against. For 1,400 BFC at launch, this Bundle contains the “Hotwired” Weapon Package for the VZ.61 Sidearm, the “Stormchaser” Soldier Skin, and seven other Customization Items including one from a new category: Sprays.

Accessible via the “Command Wheel” (by default, pressing and holding the middle mouse button on PC, or pressing and holding L1 on PS5 or LB on Xbox Controllers), Sprays allow you to literally make a mark on the Battlefield. Sprays are most effective on flat, non-destructible surfaces, such as indestructible walls or floors.

All soldiers will have one Spray by default; expect an additional free Spray gift you can claim in the in-game Store during Blastpoint’s first week.

Another Blastpoint Bundle that includes a Spray is the “Detonation Derby” Elite Bundle available for 1,900 BFC at its launch. This includes a “Perimeter Lock” Weapon Package for the SG 553R Carbine Rifle, which is built for fast and reliable close-to-medium range engagements, and the “Groundwork“ Weapon Package for the M123K LMG, which is ready to lay down suppressive fire with its 200 Rnd Belt Box among other attachments.

Blastpoint will also include multiple Bundles that slot in under 1,000 BFC; be on the lookout for these value packages that have a Soldier Skin, a Weapon Package, or Vehicle Skins.
