Halloween Season is here and there are plenty of Nightmares to fear on the field! Today, we have a special Campus Huddle lined up for you! We wanted to give you a full breakdown of everything you need to know before you get started with the Nightmares program so let's get into it!

Madden NFL 27 Crossover
The celebration of football’s most fearsome nightmares is here across College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27.
To recap everything you can earn in Madden Ultimate Team’s Most Feared Program through College Ultimate Team:

However, Madden Ultimate Team’s Most Feared also has its own College Ultimate Team rewards for the Nightmares program.

In addition, a Crossover set in Madden NFL 27 Ultimate will be available that requires a Marshawn Lynch Crossover Token for you to use in that exclusive set. When you redeem this set, you will receive a BND Marshawn Lynch Player item in College Football 27 Ultimate Team to enhance your Nightmares Lineup.

The Eternal, Abyssal, and Harrowing
Don’t fear the Nightmares - add them to your squad and strike terror into your opponents.
In addition to standard Hero and Elite Nightmares Player Items, the Champion and LTD Nightmares Player Items come in three different forms with their own unique additional Chemistry slots:
Harrowing. During the day (6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET), expect Store packs to feature Harrowing Player Items.
Abyssal. At night (6:30 p.m. ET to 6:30 a.m. ET the following day), expect Store packs to feature Abyssal Player Items.
Eternal. Champions of all Nightmares, these Player Items have some of the highest OVR ratings in the program, and are earned when combining both versions of the player.
These Nightmares player items represent some of the sport’s scariest athletes in terms of versatility. Each Player Item type - Abyssal, Harrowing, and Eternal - is a different archetype. For example, Kam Chancellor has three different LTD Player Items: an Abyssal Box Specialist, a Harrowing Coverage Specialist, and an Eternal Hybrid Archetype.
Nightmare Fuel and Grave Tokens
The limited-time currency for the Nightmares Program is known as Nightmare Fuel.
Earn Nightmare Fuel by completing levels of the Nightmares Field Pass or through Event and Challenge rewards, then exchange Nightmare Fuel for Packs or Grave Tokens in the Store. Grave Tokens are mainly used for completing Nightmares Sets, including those for Champion and Hero Player Items.
As a reminder, unspent Nightmare Fuel is automatically converted to Coins when the program ends on November 6.
Welcome Pack - Start your Nightmares Roster

Log into College Ultimate Team before November 6th at 1:30pm ET to get a free Nightmares Welcome Pack containing both TE Kevin Roche Jr. of Georgia Tech and REDGE Williams Nwaneri of Nebraska.
Standing at 6'9" and 265 lbs, Sophomore Kevin Roche Jr. is currently towering over the ACC, racking up 18 receptions and 200 yards through his first four games after a Redshirt Freshman season. The pride of Darien, Connecticut is an athletic prototypical red zone giant for the Yellow Jackets; if he can continue to grow his game, then he may be a coverage nightmare in real life.

Over in the Big Ten Conference, former five-star recruit Williams Nwaneri is once again haunting the dreams of opposing quarterbacks following a 27-tackle, 2.5 sack season in 2025. If you’re wondering why he’s considered a Nightmare on Nebraska’s front seven, we recommend looking up his two sacks in the Cornhusker’s recent 31-13 victory over the Michigan State Spartans (we’re sorry to remind you of that loss, Sparty).
Choose either player, then earn Skill Points by completing objectives to upgrade their attributes. Through these upgrades, your choice of Player Item can be upgraded to 91 OVR Champion without any additional Evolutions. Those objectives can be completed in any CUT mode, including Challenges, but remember that their objective progress only tracks when they are in your active lineup.
We also want to let you know that the Welcome Pack Players and in addition, the Marshawn Lynch crossover item have exclusive chemistries that work ONLY if they are in your lineup!

Nightmares Field Pass
As you face your fears across this program’s Events, Challenges, Sets, and more, you’ll make progress on the Nightmares Field Pass.
Through the Free Pass, you can earn up to 250 Nightmare Fuel, multiple Nightmares BND Reward Packs, a Grave Token, a Nightmare Champion Fantasy Pack with your choice of a 91 OVR Player Item, and by completing the Field Pass, an exclusive 91 OVR Tano Letuli!

Upgrade to the Premium Pass for an instant 6,000 XP in the Nightmares Field Pass, enough to reach Level 4 from Level 1, as well as three Grave Tokens and the opportunity to earn more rewards, such as 500 Nightmare Fuel, two additional Grave Tokens, and even more BND Nightmares Reward Packs.
Nightmares Events
When Never Ending Nightmares, Perpetual Nightmares, and Most Feared Nightmares all come out to play, which one will you conquer first?
The Solo Perpetual Nightmare event features a new form of fear each major release. Defeat the CPU to earn Nightmare Fuel with each win, leading up to a Grave Token by winning ten games in a single run without reaching two losses.
As for H2H events, both the Never Ending Nightmares and Most Feared Nightmares events are set to Hall of Fame difficulty with their own unique rewards. Dominate the Never Ending Nightmares competition to earn Nightmare Fuel and packs, or get rewarded in both CUT and MUT by hitting a win streak in the Most Feared Nightmares event.
Nightmares Solo Challenges
Survive Ghouls Graveyard Solos and face mutated, towering giants in Day and Night boss fights, with new Solo Challenges arriving as Nightmares continue through Halloween.
During the day (6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET), prepare to face the Harrowing’s might in the Murder on the Morrow Solo Challenges. Then at night (6:30 p.m. ET to 6:30 a.m. ET the following day), the Abyssal horrors await in The Dead of Night Solo Challenges. These two Solo Challenge groups are only playable at those specific times each day and are considered some of the toughest in CUT yet… You might have to bring down these massive, boosted Nightmares by teaming up in Squads, so gameplan accordingly with your coordinators.
In addition to these two difficult Solo Challenge groups, there will also be the Ghouls Graveyard Solo Challenge sequences, which are similar to previous program sequences. Choose your difficulty and attempt to complete the bonus challenges to earn additional rewards.
You might have to bring down these massive, boosted Nightmares by teaming up in Squads.
Nightmares Sets
Exchange Grave Tokens for Nightmares Packs containing Elite, Hero, or even Champion Player Items.
Each Eternal Player Item also has its own unique set: Exchange both the Abyssal and Hollow versions of a Player item to receive the Eternal Player Item.

- MANAGE EVENT STAMINA ACROSS PROGRESSIVE JOURNEYS: Pace stamina across the Haunted Campus Journey, 17-node Nightmare Journey, and Dungeons 1 & 2 to maximize yields.
- MASTER TRADE PIPELINES & PLAN FOR CONTENT ESCALATIONS: Use trade recipes (e.g., 5x Tier 1 1-Star RNG items) to reach Tier 2/3, saving resources for new drops on Oct 19, 23, 26, and 31.
- MAXIMIZE LATE-FALL LINEUP BOOST WINDOWS: Acquire Tier 3 5-Star and 6-Star players for team boosts lasting into December, finalizing trades before Nov 12.
Step Into Nightmares: Earn Rewards on Twitch
