EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 27 Comes to Apple Arcade: A New Way to Experience NFL Seasons

We're bringing Madden NFL 27 to Apple Arcade, Apple’s game subscription service that offers access to more than 200 games. Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition is a new premium experience focused on authentic NFL seasons, franchise management, and story-driven gameplay - letting players jump straight into managing and playing through NFL seasons. 

Players can take control of real NFL teams and rosters, guiding their franchise through the regular season and playoffs while making key decisions around trades, free agency, and roster management. On the field, they'll experience the same 11-on-11 gameplay Madden NFL Mobile fans know, while off the field they'll be responsible for keeping their team on track throughout the season.

If you're looking to jump right into the action, Quick Play lets you hit the field immediately with your favorite NFL team and face off against opponents in a traditional exhibition matchup.

One of the biggest additions is the Narrative Messaging System (NMS), which introduces scenarios, decisions, and challenges that shape each season. During a standard NFL season, players will encounter events tied to player performance, roster moves, free agency, and other franchise storylines that require them to adapt throughout the year. You’ll be faced with choices that determine your season's trajectory—like whether to hold a press conference to introduce yourself to your fans or take your coaching staff out for a dinner to bond and get better acquainted. Each choice carries unique outcomes, so think carefully before you decide how your season plays out.

Players can also jump into monthly custom franchises featuring unique themes and handcrafted narratives. An International Franchise could see you leading your team across the globe to iconic international stadiums, facing off against other NFL teams in a global tournament. Along the way, unexpected events can impact your season and it’s up to you to keep the ball moving down the field!

To kick things off, we are excited to introduce our first live content season: 'Off-Season.' Get ready for the NFL season by building your team from the ground up with a fantasy draft. You’ll hit the field against NFL teams with your freshly drafted squad, making critical personnel decisions that will define your success throughout the year.

These custom franchises are designed to make every season feel a little different. Combined with live roster updates, branching storylines, and meaningful team management, Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition offers a new way to experience football beyond simply playing games.

For the first time on mobile, Madden NFL 27 Arcade Edition fully supports controllers, making it easier than ever to navigate menus, manage your franchise, and experience authentic 11-on-11 football from the comfort of your couch on Apple TV. You can even carry your progress across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. This will also  be the first Madden to be localized in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian. 

We're just getting started. The team is already exploring new franchise concepts, additional game modes, and more ways to expand the experience over time. Players can also expect ongoing roster updates throughout the season, including weekly ratings boosts for standout NFL performers, helping keep the game in sync with the latest action on the field.
