Announcing the new Alter Egos and Fighters coming in August

Seven Alter Egos and Four New Fighters are coming soon to UFC 5

Patch 1.12 goes live August 14th 10 A.M. PT with four new rostered fighters, gameplay fixes made to the lead hook block counter mechanic, and an issue that previously allowed the Body Crane Kick to track side lunges. We’ve also addressed an exploit that allowed players to view their opponent's selected fighter before starting an online ranked match.

In case you missed yesterday's announcement, we’ve unveiled the winning Alter Egos from the first UFC 5 Alter Ego Community Vote.

When we started these blogs, we stated that we wanted to provide you with transparency on what we’re working on. To deliver on that transparency, here is a look ahead at some of the Alter Egos and New Rostered Fighters coming soon to EA SPORTS UFC 5.

Let’s start with the Alter Egos:

August 14

Paddy Pimblett (UFC 304) (LW) - A callback to one of Paddy’s favorite PRIDE FC fighters. The King in the North is coming off a fresh UFC 304 win with some fresh and fun custom shorts.

Forrest Griffin (TUF 1) (2005) (LHW) - One of the very first TUF champions, Forrest’s TUF 1 Finale fight thrust the UFC into the mainstream.

Diego Sanchez (TUF 1) (2005) (WW) - The very first TUF champion. Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez would go on to have many epic clashes inside the Octagon but this is where it all started.

Rashad Evans (TUF 2) (2005) (HW) - “Suga” Rashad Evans was a natural light heavyweight who took on some truly giant heavyweights in the second season of The Ultimate Fighter and came out as the winner in the TUF 2 Finale. Rashad proves that size does not matter if you’ve got heart and the will to win.

Leon Edwards (2024) (UFC 304) (WW) - Leon rocked these custom fight shorts at UFC 304. Emblazoned with the Jamaican and Union Jack Flags, these shorts pay tribute to his place of birth and adopted home.

August 20

Alex Pereira (2024) (UFC 303) (LHW) - The Number 2 Pound for Pound fighter in the world blew the roof off of UFC 303 by delivering another highlight reel finish while sporting the same custom shorts he debuted at UFC 300. The shorts are a callback to his indigenous roots that represent the Pataxó culture and people. This Alter Ego of Alex will have his in-game stats updated to reflect his win at UFC 303 and will now sport the gold gloves befitting a champion.

August 27

Ian Garry (2024) (UFC 303) (WW) - At UFC 303, Ian Machado Garry debuted his custom purple fight shorts and took home a W that night. These custom shorts worn by the UFC 303 Alter Ego of Ian Garry serve as a callback to his early days fighting on the regional circuits in the same color shorts. “The Future” is looking bright and so are his custom shorts!

Here are the New Rostered Fighters that are coming soon to UFC 5:

Payton Talbott (BW)

Vitor Petrino (LHW)

Karine Silva (#11 WFW)

Ricky Simon (BW)

And a sneak peek of the fighters coming in September, just in time for Riyadh Season Noche UFC:

Manuel Torres (LW)

Tabatha Ricci (#11 WSW)

Daniel Zellhuber (LW)
